Best one: how much runway did you have when you pulled the trigger? And how much would you recommend in hindsight?
9 months in cash + 1 client I kept on retainer for the first quarter as a soft landing. In hindsight: 9 months felt right, but I'd budget for 12 because the first 90 days I was so anxious I underperformed and burned more cash than planned. Anxiety is an expense people don't put in their spreadsheets.
